Spatial Informatics Group, in collaboration with Conway Conservation Group (CCG), Panorama Environmental, and Prometheus Fire Consulting is accounting and mapping San Lorenzo Valley Water District resources and assets in order to understand exposure to potential wildfire during critical fire weather. A mitigation plan will then be drawn to reduce exposure and prioritize treatments. Further, our team is working with the water district to build attractive implementation grant proposals while also canvasing other funding opportunities to expand the scope of the project to include more in depth analysis and implementation across all landowners in northern Santa Cruz county. This project was awarded in the spring of 2020 and is expected to continue through the end of the year.
