Daniel Whitaker

Dan is a software developer for Spatial Informatics Group, working to improve change detection applications with the Environmental Mapping team. Dan has professional experience working in clean energy, advancing novel approaches to low-carbon bitumen recovery and cost-effective green hydrogen. He also has professional experience developing medical software, simplifying and accelerating the creation & management of legally compliant medical prescriptions, as well as improving patient accessibility.

Dan is fascinated by the emergent systems found in the natural world, in human society, and in his desktop computer. He is passionate about the potential for interactive simulations to feed our curiosity and understanding of the world around us.
