Valentin Waeselynck works for SIG on wildfire-related R&D. His research work currently focuses on wildfire risk prediction, including the quantitative methodology, stochastic modeling, experimental design, calibration, statistical analysis and algorithmic implementation of Monte Carlo wildfire simulations. He’s been passionate about mathematics since childhood, and holds a M.S. in Engineering and Computer Science from the Ecole Polytechnique. He hopes to work where he can make the most difference for protecting the environment, at the crossroads of science and software engineering.
