Tim Kramer is Director of Carbon Operations at SIG Carbon. He is a forest carbon and project management specialist whose primary responsibilities consist of the sourcing, analysis, and development of forest carbon offset projects.
Tim manages SIG’s forest project implementation team, overseeing all aspects of project development, from initial contracting to the ultimate issuance of offset credits. Throughout this process he works with clients, directs SIG’s technical staff, supervises third-party contractors, and coordinates with carbon registry administrators. Tim also leads efforts to accelerate innovation in natural climate solutions through the integration of remote sensing technologies into forest carbon development and standards.
As a carbon and land management specialist, Tim has more than 15 years of experience overseeing projects for private individuals, tribal nations, governments, and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining SIG, he worked in state government managing large-scale restoration planning projects, as well as in the private sector, where he led efforts to implement large-scale land management and planning initiatives for a wide range of clients.
Tim holds a master’s in Environmental Science from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a bachelor’s in Geography from the University of Iowa.
