Chanarun Saisaward is a Technical Specialist at SIG, focusing on the Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) project in Cambodia. She also serves as a trainer, leading capacity-building initiatives in the geospatial field for government and NGO stakeholders. Her expertise spans disaster management, agriculture, environmental challenges, and the use of Google Earth Engine.
Previously, she worked as a Geoinformatics Officer at GISTDA, specializing in satellite-based analyses using Google Earth Engine and machine learning for disaster-related applications. She collaborated extensively with government agencies on geospatial solutions, supporting policy-making and environmental monitoring. Her work included disaster event analysis, contributing to carbon credit modeling, and delivering regional geospatial training to government officials and academic professionals.
She holds a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Asian Institute of Technology, where she focused on the impacts of biomass burning, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Thammasat University.
