Carl Rudeen is a Geospatial Analyst with Spatial Informatics Group. He has extensive experience as a biologist and project manager. His most recent projects utilize GIS for pre-wildfire planning and risk analysis as well as post-fire rehabilitation. Carl specializes in analysis of natural resources datasets to make management decisions. Prior to joining SIG, he spent 13 years working for the US Air Force as a natural resources manager, where he managed projects involving endangered species management, invasive species control, post-fire restoration of rangelands, wetland management, erosion control, grazing management, and biological surveys. He has also worked as a habitat specialist for the Upper Salmon Basin Watershed Project, where he collaborated with local ranchers to implement salmon and steelhead conservation projects on private lands. Carl holds a master’s in Geographic Information Science from Idaho State University and a bachelor’s in Wildlife Resources and a bachelor’s in Rangeland Ecology and Management from the University of Idaho.
