Nick Miley has a diverse professional background, including dendrochronology, forestry, project management, journalism, and STEM education. He has worked in the forests of Western North America and abroad in Bhutan. Nick earned his M.S. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Nevada, Reno. His graduate work focused on plant ecophysiology and dendroclimatology. His professional interests lie in climate and forest dynamics, science interpretation, and multimedia communications. Before working for Spatial Informatics Group, Nick worked as a forest technician at Forest Carbon Works, an instructor at Headwaters Science Institute, and a project manager at TechGearLab. In his free time, Nick likes to head into the backcountry with his bike, skis, rope, or fly rod. He lives on the south shore of Lake Tahoe.
