Carlos Beltrán

Project Manager

Carlos Beltrán serves as Project Manager at Spatial Informatics Group (SIG), helping with project management for the Servir Amazonia hub services. Carlos has also worked as a Strategy Advisor at Transforma, a Latin American climate think tank where he supports strategic planning activities and stakeholder engagement. He also held research and consultancy roles at Universidad del Rosario and USAID, focusing on the intersection of climate change, illegal mining, and armed conflict. Notably, he contributed to developing reports on artisanal and small-scale mining challenges in Colombia and participated in a pioneering AI-driven mining detection project. Carlos holds a BA in Political Science from Universidad del Rosario, and is pursuing an MA in Public Policy and Development from FLACSO-Argentina. Carlos has a multidisciplinary approach that facilitates collaboration with individuals from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise.
