Michele Turner is an internationally recognized leader in Product Management. Her skills span both software and hardware product development, as well as general management. While she is known for her leadership at Google in the Internet of Things, being one of the founders of the Matter initiative, her experience spans a number of industries. She was the CEO of Dictionary.com where she executed a complete product and business overhaul of the company, VP of the Flash Platform at Adobe when it was the most popular software globally, built critical new product capabilities at Netflix, and led the growth of early internet companies including Excite@Home and America Online. Ms. Turner has experience in both early stage start-ups, as well as managing large global teams at major corporations. She’s noted for her ability to build products for large partnerships, successfully executing 0-1 programs and managing large, diverse teams. At Google she was deeply involved in improving hiring of diverse candidates. Most recently, Ms. Turner has turned her focus to solving challenges involving climate change. As a Google.org Fellow, she led the initial product development for Planscape, a decision support tool to enable wildland planners to create landscape scale treatment scenarios that are ecologically beneficial and can help reduce wildfire severity. She most recently founded SplitRock Advisors to focus on climate related work. Ms. Turner holds a BS in Finance and an MBA.
