Kayla Johnston has 7 years of experience with geospatial analysis and database management through her work with Oregon State University, University of Idaho, the US Forest Service, and SIG. She is proficient at creating, updating, manipulating, and maintaining geospatial data using ArcGIS, QGIS, Python, and R.

Kayla has leveraged her GIS skills to complete complex geospatial projects that include using LiDAR and satellite imagery to estimate vegetation attributes, fuels project planning, evaluation of fuels project efficacy, and deriving forest stand condition and forest dynamics information. These projects have encompassed forests, rangelands, natural areas, and recreation sites. Kayla holds a BS and MS in Ecology from Oregon State University and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Idaho.
