SIG conducted and analysis for The California Department of Transportation, Division of Mass Transportation (DMT) to produce demographic maps as required by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Circular 4702.1B. Specifically the project is focused on the distribution of funds in rural areas and discretionary programs administered by Caltrans. This assessment incorporated statewide FTA expenditure data, existing United States Census Bureau (USCB) data, and other existing geospatial data to allow the Division of Mass Transportation to see the effect of its Federal and State Funds distribution throughout the state.
